FIRST CATEGORY: Individual performers
SECOND CATEGORY: Vokal groups

There compete the following groups:

Individual performers:
First - up to 9 years old
Second - up to 15 years old
Third - up to 19 years old

Vokal groups:
First - up to 15 years old
Second - over 19 years old

Rules for participation:
Participants in both categories have to prepare two songs, one in Bulgarian for the Bulgarian participants and in the native language for the foreign participants, another one by their own choice, the total duration being up to 8 minutes.
All songs are to be performed alive with an accompaniment or instrumental part recorded on a CD or MD. Participants who use “full” playback at the competition rounds are not to be admitted in the evaluation for ranking.
All participants have to send a full recording of their contest songs and accompaniment without the solo vocal piece – sin-back until 30.03.2006.
It is not obligatory for the First-round song to be the one for the competition.
In the First round are to be admitted those applicants who have sent the complete package of documents according to these rules
In the Second round are to be admitted up to 15 participants in every age group.
A song in the native language is to be performed.
In the Third round are to be admitted up to 5 participants from each age group.
A song by one’s own choice is to be performed, different from the one in the First round.
Artistic groups have to claim the number of microphones they need in advance.
First- prize winners of previous competitions will not be permitted to participate in the same age group.
All participants pay their expenses, connected with their stay in Varna.

Evaluation criteria: choice of repertoire according to the age characteristics of the participant; strength and clarity of voice; stage behaviour.
