GENERAL RULES

The “Goldfish” International festival for talented children and youths is carried out every year in seven sections:

  • vocal art – national, pop, jazz – for soloists and ensembles;
  • composition – competition for creating of new author’s children-youth song;
  • theatrical art – artistic word, pantomima, musical and experimental theatre;
  • dance art – national, classical, typical, standart, variety and dance show;
  • cyrcus art – acrobatic, juggling, clowns;
  • poetry and prose;
  • pictorial art – art of painting, water color, black and white drawing, engrave, caricature.

All children from any country round the world aged under 19 who accept the rules of this statute are eligible to participate.
Vocal groups, comprising performers of both ages will compete in the second age group. 30% of the participants can be under 20 years of age.
A performer is entitled to take part in another category after paying 40% of the former festival fee meeting the deadline.
All music accompaniments should be live or submitted separately on a CD or MD, with a legible inscription of the performer’s name, title of the piece and exact duration of the recording.
All participants are provided with rehearsals up to 2 minutes. The rehearsals are made in accordance with a schedule, prepared by the organizers and presented to the participants on the date of their arrival.
The festival programme is going to be distributed on the day of registration.
The competitors perform according to a schedule after lots are drawn.
All participants take all their charges for transport and accommodation in Varna. If the participants want, the organizators offer overnights on preferencial prices.
The competition has three rounds.

Official opening 03 July 2006;

First round 03 July 2006.
All participants take part.

Second round 05 July 2006.
Up to 15 participants in each section and every age group are to be admitted into the second round .

Third round 07 July 2006.
Up to 7 participants in each section and age group are to be admitted into the third round.

Official closing 08 July 2006. Giving awards and Gala-concert of prize-winners.
The first round is to be held indoors and outdoors in the city of Varna and the resorts nearby.
The second and third round and Gala-concert are to be held on the stage of the Open-air theatre in Varna.
The package of materials on participation in First round is to be sent until 30 Mart 2006.

Those admitted to the second round guarantee their participation by paying a registration fee and a copy of a bank form for the transfer sent by fax/e-mail until 30 Mart 2006.

Note: The deposit of 40% of the total sum is not returned to the applicant except in force – major circumstance to be proved by documents.
After this deadline and doing the quota with the late participants, the rules for participation are to be negotiated additionally.
Disadvantaged children and ones with special needs don’t have to pay fees. The declaration on paid copyright is to be submitted at registering participants.
Participants who have not submitted the demanded documents in order, are not allowed to take part in the competition.
All participants in the competitive and non-competitive program pay their expenses, connected with their stay in Varna.
The organizational committee will undertake the expenses with relation to the competition and festival programs, such as: the hall rent, scenario, staging, hall wiring for sound, lighting and entire advertising, as well as expenses with relation to concomitant concerts of competitors and participants on the festival stage.
Documents, materials and fees are not to be given back to participants.
Groups have to bring their national flag and a distinctive sign.
