Goldfish Foundation
The “Goldfish” foundation whose main goal is to discover and encourage young talents was established in 2002 by a group of followers who are convinced that art has an elevating influence on man. The condition of young people in Bulgaria and their role in society are one of the important priorities of our foundation. Through making a successful long-term policy in the field of children’s art the foundation contributes for keeping universal values of young people, by increasing the quality of informal education in children’s leisure time. In this way it ensures them the opportunity for successful personal realization in the spirit of the Law for protecting children.
Means for achieving the goals of the foundation are:
· Carrying out an annual international “Goldfish” Festival of children’s and young people’s popular music and other cultural-educational events aimed at communication of children through the language of art and culture;
· Full-time Academy of arts for children and young people; preparing and supporting the participation of talented young performers in competitions and festivals;
· Stimulating and supporting free exchange of ideas and events, information and knowledge of authors for creating original works for children and young people, research, creative, educational, cultural and charity events and activities connected with the goals of the foundation;
· Coming into contact and cooperation with non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria and abroad for surveying and applying their experience in developing works for children and young people.
